What is Rebound?

Rebound is a four day retreat designed for the youth worker and their spouse (if applicable) to get away to reconnect with God, one another, their calling and their identity.  The worship gatherings, schedule and environment are all designed to facilitate these "renewal reconnections."   Our desire is to encourage long term, healthy student ministries by ministering to the youth workers.

In our five plenary sessions you will experience prayer, worship and opportunity to interact and minister with and to one another.  Our speaker and panel will focus on speaking life into your soul.  This is not a training conference.  It is a renewal conference.  The wisest man to ever live, King Solomon, spoke these words to his son, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”  Proverbs 4:23.  There are times the wisest and most responsible thing we can do for our own souls and ministries is to focus some deliberate attention on our hearts.

Speaker: Larry Lindquest:

Larry is a tenured member of the faculty at Denver Seminary.  He has taught courses in Youth and Family Ministries, Worship, Evangelism & Discipleship, and currently serves as the chair of the Leadership Degree. For nearly 20 years Larry served as youth pastor and Worship pastor in Evangelical Free Churches in Wisconsin, Illinois, and New Jersey and is ordained by the EFCA.  He also taught public school in the suburbs of Chicago. He earned degrees from Trinity International University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Northern Illinois University.  Dr. Lindquist served as adjunct professor at Moody Bible Institute and Trinity International University and has written for David C. Cook, Moody Press, and Group Publishing.  He continues to write and speak at churches, national youth conferences, Christian colleges, summer camps, retreats, and conventions.  Larry and his wife Cindy live in Littleton, Colorado. Our free time is consumed with backcountry hiking/camping, climbing “fourteeners” (we’ve summited 14 of the 54 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado), sailing, flying (I’m a pilot), and SKIING (of course)

Your registration cost covers 3 nights lodging, 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners. Your afternoons are free to lay by the pool, sightsee, have lunch with new friends or simply reflect and rest.  Note: some districts help subsidize youthworkers who attend from their district.  Contact your district mobilizer to see if such funds are available in your district.
